সব্যসাচী দেব নিজের হাতে গত বারো বছরের লেখা কবিতা থেকে এমন কি ৩২ বছরের আগের লেখা থেকেও ‘কুড়িয়ে বাড়িয়ে জড়ো’ করেছেন বেশ কিছু কবিতা। যা রয়েছে এই গ্রন্থে। প্রথম চুমুর আগে জেনে নাও ওই ঠোঁটে কত অভিমান, তোমার সকালে হাওয়া, এলোমেলো, আঁচল ওড়ানো, নির্জন জেটির প্রান্তে তোমার এলানো চুলে খেলা করে জলদস্যু সমুদ্র- বাতাস, শিশির সিক্ত ঝরা কুসুমের পথ পেয়ে ফিরে আসি, ঘুমভাঙ্গা ভোরে তোমার কপালে রৌদ্রের আলপনা—এই কাব্যগ্রন্থ গুলি থেকেই বেছে নেওয়া।
